Why should the container be certified to standard?:
Certification to standards ensures that the container has been tested and has passed Australian standards for Needle penetration, crush test and leak test and ensures it has the correct labeling.
Is Manufactured to Standards mean the container is approved?:
No – This only means that the container is manufactured to comply to the standards, but the container has not been tested to ensure it passes of the tests nor has it been approved by a certification agency.
Does “comply to” or “conforms to” means that the containers are certified to standards?:
No – This only means that the manufacturer has manufactured the container to comply to the standards, but the container has not been tested and is not approved by a certification agency.
Will the Fittank containers fit in in exsiting BD brackets?:
Our containers have been designed to fit into the existing brackets.
How do I dispose of my sharps?
All used sharps should be disposed in a sharps container which, when full, should be put into a sharps disposal bin and not the general waste.
Where do I find the sharps disposal bins?
Depending on which state you leave in, you can find sharp disposal facilities at your local hospital, community health, special location in you council or local pharmacy.
